About this deal

While heartbreaking at some points, the book is ultimately uplifting and heartwarming and hopefully will urge you to see things from a different perspective. It's about living it to the fullest and not taking it for granted because life could easily take an unexpected turn. This author clearly shares my passion for music and made it so it became an extension of her story as it wove through the pages.

Keller brought out a side in her that we didn’t get to see until it was too late – The scene where she goes to Keller drunk and soaked in the rain was so powerful. More importantly, she has a big secret that she's been keeping from everyone she loves, which she knows will ruin everything. I'm definitely in the minority here and I won't be gushing over how beautiful the story was and such. I became aware of Alice’s Kids when they were mentioned by one of my favorite people, Patton Oswalt, on Celebrity Jeopardy! So, many kids who have this book read with their families might be experiencing some version of this story.Because “poverty shaming” can be a problem – Alice’s Kids provides these things in a way that doesn’t draw attention to the kids who receive them. We are elegant creatures capable of depth and empathy and heartbreak, who clutch Kindles and hurt and feel – especially at 3 AM.

She’s a successful young architect from Northern England with an adorable smile, sarcasm for days, and an unparalleled trusting heart. I live in Denver, Colorado with my high school sweetheart, our super cool son, two crazy weenie dogs, and a spoiled rotten kitty who rules us all. From international bestselling author Kim Holden comes an inspiring, life-changing story about the power of love in all its forms, having the courage to live life to the fullest, and always looking on the bright side.He dreams of escaping the confines of his care home and practicing hairpin turns on his mobility scooter. Perhaps the unofficial motto of this book is “Do Epic” and Kim Holden did just that with her debut novel, Bright Side. I finished this novel at 3 am today, and I’ve been walking around with a massive headache all day because of all the crying I did last night. It reminded me today to smile at strangers a little more widely , love my husband a little more intensely , hug my son a little more tightly .
