About this deal

Of course if you shoot raw, then the colors and look you get depends just as much on your choice of software used to decode the raw files. It doesn't matter if your other camera is a Full frame or even bigger Fuji camera, that doesn't make this camera compact.

Being so silent means I dont need to use the electronic one that has so many problems (artifacts with some light sources, rolling shutter effect.

The only thing companies respond to is money and variables they may cause them lose money or gain it. The X100V, though, is one of those cameras where it doesn’t really make sense to separate image quality from the shooting experience as a whole. Like many have come to realise the Ricoh GRIII and IIIx bottles the concept of street better, but there's no denying the allure of the x100v and its own set of unique features. Macro is a full-frame L-mount lens that's designed to be a medium telephoto, portrait and macro lens all-in-one. We've taken a closer look at the image quality and dynamic range impact of the move to a Stacked CMOS global shutter sensor.

Even shots at ISO 6400 and ISO 12800 are certainly usable, despite a gradual increase in color noise, which means you have a good safety net in low-light situations. A fun, stylish and performant camera in as compact a package as possible for a 23mm f/2 in front of an APS-C sensor. The x-trans III would have been a better sensor, as it has better colours, the more neutral colours of the x-trans IV are more suited for primarily RAW shooters. The industry standard CIPA rating, which is usually a pretty conservative estimate, is 350 shots per charge, up 270 on the X100F.

One other element of the Fujifilm X100V that's a big step forward is the new lens that it's packing. Waiting until the market stabilises, paying the high markup, or simply opting to get the older X100F. At the same time right now you are complaining that it doesn't have dust sealing, the x100v have dust resistance with a lens cap, not dust sealing, you can also add dust resistance to the gr lens with the new nisi filter adapter without increasing the size too much.

While you're there, you could even shell out a bit more for their optional filter ring adapter for additional water resistance. Weather resistance appears for the first time in the X100 Series when the optional AR-X100 adapter ring and the PRF-49 protection filter are attached to the Fujifilm X100V's brand new lens. The fact that the noise is mainly luminance and no random spots of color helps the fact tremendously. The X100-series has always been a favorite among the DPReview staff, and for some good reasons; these cameras produce wonderful images, they're beautifully designed and are engaging to use. It comes down to a combination of four factors: its stylish, pocketable form factor, large APS-C sensor, unique hybrid viewfinder, and a fixed 23mm f/2 lens. Camera companies have been fasle advertising for ages, as we both know, with deceptive advertising of video capabilities that people don't learn about until an actual user gets one of the products in their hands. However, it still maintains the same overall size and compatibility with legacy WCL/TCL lens attachments, which gives image-makers additional angle of views equivalent to 28mm and 50mm on 35mm Format.
