About this deal

And then he finally finds her and confronts her. First Aspen is like “it was live porn who wouldn’t watch?” And I thought okay girl I like where this is going but then hahaha Aspen was like GIRL YOU SPOKE TOO SOON. The story was really good. I loved that the Nate’s entire group of friends was included and I guess I can just never get enough of the crossovers in Tijan’s books. I liked Quincey, who was both strong and weak in different ways. She has grown up with an emotionally abusive father and has never really seen the complete and total effect it has had on her life until she is finally away from him. Then I got an event notice online for her engagement party. She and another guy were smiling all nice for the photographer so that explained what happened. Still, though. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think about her. Oh....and the reason Logan STILL hasn’t proposed to Taylor is because he’s worried that since he was a complete hussy before (and a bit after) they got together that there is a chance that he’d resort to cheating like his father when life gets too real. This makes me so sad. I also hate this addition of drama because I had perceived Logan as finding his own stride in his book and with the love of his life creating a balance, the past and doubts would be laid to rest to move forward. Nate's sister is referenced one time in Fallen Crest, that she exists and something happened to her.

I thought he was flat, and I didn’t like Quincey at all. I thought she was selfish. She treated her family like crap, then was upset when they held a grudge. She acted like she was a victim of her father, but tried to screw Nate out of his daughter. Her internal dialogue was ALWAYS thinking about herself… her feelings, her wants, how it would affect her… hell, even at the end when the gang is super sad, because Nate’s been away so long she thinks… I feel bad because he's so close to these people, but I don’t know what I’m going to do with my career, Nate can travel were he needs to, and I want to work on developing a bond with my family, so Seattle it is. Quincey was all over the place, and the character development needed to explain this was missing. At first, she’s this cold, ice queen that just wants Nate to give up his parental rights… Scheming with her dad, and avoiding Nate’s requests. We get involved in the family dynamics of two different groups, and there is no way you can not feel on your skin, all the pain and overcoming that these characters lived. Their scars run bone deep and their healing process are not a beautiful one, it's raw and angry, but when they have each other, they also get the strength to deal with it, and it's amazing to see they overcoming their demons! Nate makes it clear that there is no love between him and Quincy but is ok with a physical relationship. However, it was good to see everyone else, even when I don't know why there were included. Mason and Sam were settled but Logan was still a mess - thankfully he didn't offer to screw someone's sister or mother - but him and Taylor still weren't married and he couldn't bring himself to put a ring on it AND in typical Taylor fashion she was still standing by him like the meek weak doormat she is. SO that's why I just wrote the review, instead of burning this novel to pieces. Because I am polite and still love Tijan and her novels. I never knew if he actually meant bloodied corpse as in dead people, but that was another topic—like how I called him Duke instead of Dad—that never got discussed. Reading Nate was exciting. I loved where Tijan took the drama. It wasn’t what I expected. There was a family feud like in the other Fallen Crest High books, but it wasn’t with Nate’s family. It all revolved around his daughter and the mother’s side of the family. It wasn’t the same old drama and I appreciated that. Things were handled in a more grown-up way, too. It was nice to see the maturity of Tijan’s original characters as they are now adults.

Eu poderia rasgar milhares de adjetivos pra ambos os personagens, mas se vc já leu um livro da Tijan, sabe que o universo em que ela te envolve, nunca é de um plot só. As for that love interest… I’m not telling. I know there will be some spoilers on who she is, so you can get them elsewhere. I liked her for the most part. She wasn’t what I was expecting. There were some weird vibes that I won’t explain and didn’t love, but her story combined with Nate’s worked for me. They had an instant chemistry, and I enjoyed the buildup of their relationship. I think Valerie loved you." His eyes sharpened. I turned away, looking almost distracted out the front window. "I think she loved you, but I think she knew you didn't love her. And I think she wanted to take anything you'd give her, so that's why she never pushed for more from you. I think she knew she'd lose you." She was not quite the woman I would imagine for Nate but then again she fitted perfectly into all his layers... Kissing her, I slid my hand inside her shorts and inside her, and when she was done and moaning, I looked over my shoulder. The other girl was still there, still glued to her tree, her eyes still right on us, but this time, she saw me.En la descripción dicen que es un standalone y en ningún momento decía que era parte de una serie o que era necesario leer la serie para disfrutarlo. Without responding to me, he pulled out his wallet. He laid out two twenty-dollar bills, then took a business card and slid it across the table to me. “My client will be in touch.” Nate is a character from the Fallen Crest series, but new readers do not need to read anything before reading Nate’s book.

I did not get bored once in this book. Something was always happening besides the romance. They both had their issues and they both helped each other through those issues.

Nate by Tijan Summary

The Love Story: Six months after getting custody of her niece Nova, Quincey meets Nate to tell him about his daughter. She (and her father Duke), want Nate to give up his parental rights. However, Nate takes both the fact that they waited six months and their request to sign away his rights as an act of war. Then I felt throbbing and a warm feeling between my legs, and it was game over. It was all I could do not to make a sound, because I wanted to. So bad. I wanted to moan. I wanted to touch myself, but I didn’t. I kept myself reined in, but watch? Oh yeah. I watched. Duke is Quincy's controlling and emotionally absusive father (who had separated her from her mother, step father and siblings growing up) and who encouraged Quincy to get the PI (to investigate his lifestyle and hope it meant that he wouldn't be interested in having a baby) and to confront Nate with the news about his daughter and to give him papers signing custody of baby Nova to her. Yeah, something happened with the scheduling. Your dad says that it won’t happen next year, but what do you think?” He nodded towards Logan. “Your football team against ours?”
