About this deal

Stereolink is a feature unique to Adam monitor range that allows you to control the volume for dual monitors via the control knob of only one. The A5X's large, front-baffle bass reflex ports are precisely matched with the bass/midrange driver, giving the speaker powerful, yet controlled low-end punch.

I like the A5X because it's smaller (don't have a ton of room on my desk), has front ports, front power and gain, and can be chained via RCA which is really convenient as a desktop setup. Adam's Trademark X-ART Ribbon TweetersThe A5X incorporates one of Adam's instantly recognizable folded-ribbon tweeters.

We advise you to update to a currently supported browser (such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) to improve your security, speed, and overall experience. Also, Genelec’s placement guides suggest that listening to 8030C’s at <1m distance is within the ok range. Handcrafted to the tightest tolerances, the X-ART tweeter delivers ultra-low distortion and breathtaking highs up to 50kHz, enriching the soundfield with stunning detail and faithfully conveying every nuance of the source material so you can work over long periods without listening fatigue. woofer extends response down to 50Hz, making the speaker a superb choice for nearfield monitoring and full-range monitoring with a subwoofer. Although not as loud as many larger monitors, this is still very loud at nearfield distances — and playback stays clean until well above a level that's comfortable.

This new technology connects two A5X speakers in such a manner as to allow the user the option to control the overall stereo volume of the system from either speakers gain control. It also measures the speaker at close distance ("near-field") which sharply reduces the impact of room noise. The treble is very good in particular, it's got a very smooth and natural sound; cymbals sound like cymbals! The line-level inputs are on the rear panel in both balanced XLR and RCA phono (unbalanced) formats, but the level control is on the front panel, alongside the circular power switch and blue power LED, which makes it easy to access.

The integrated power amp is no exception, with its ultra-low distortion and excellent damping factor. The figure for THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), when operating at a level of 90dB at 1m for frequencies below 100Hz, is less than 0.I’ll go ahead and eliminate the T7V’s because they hiss like crazy, and because you guys confirm that the A nX series is better. The A5s really are quite revealing, largely due to that unique tweeter — so if anything in the mix sounds a bit off-colour, they'll tell you, as good monitors should. Blind reliance on measurements can be misleading ‐ one needs to tie those measurements back to subjective perception. I've heard the A7X briefly and it was good (and "felt similar" to the T series) but I never really had a chance to get acquainted. Power is delivered via a standard IEC socket, and there's a recessed switch used to set the mains voltage to a nominal 230V or 115V.
